It's a common tale all around the country. The company that make Shellac did a wonderful job of promoting their new gel polish line, only to discover they'd created a larger demand than they could supply initially.
Several nail techs and salons who have been die-hard CND fans have found themselves in a bind over the back orders. Many of these techs have tried substituting other basecoats, with disappointing results.
Well, here's the good news for the clients who are now wondering where they can find another 14 day manicure:
Shellac isn't the only product on the shelves.
In fact, the gel polish revolution is booming. Almost every manufacturer of professional nail products has introduced their own formula of gel polish and all of them are fabulous!
The deciding factor for most professionals is not in finding a gel polish that lasts for 2 weeks, it's finding one that soaks off in a reasonable amount of time.
The Art of Nailz has opted for Gelish by Hand and Nail Harmony. Gelish is packaged in a tradtional polish bottle, just like Shellac. Gelish soaks off in about 10 minutes and cures completely under UV light. You never have to wait for polish to dry again, and no more worrying about messing up a nail while buckling up your seatbelt!
The extra good news? Shellac is currently available in about 12 colors-- Gelish is currently available in 48 colors, with more on the way soon.
And the Art of Nailz has all 48 colors --AND the all-important base and top coats-- available for your manicure or pedicure right now.
We also have the full Eco Gel line from Star Nail, another excellent gel polish product.
If you're one of thousands of women who have been waiting for the day when they invent a polish that actually lasts on your natural nails-- it's HERE!
1. You should add your area code.
ReplyDelete2. Is the prep/application/removal the same or similar to SHELLAC?
I'd like to try a different brand, and love the fact that this one is 48 colors, and has shimmer/sparkles in some of them! That said, I have SHELLAC w/the base & top, and bought extra when I first invested, so I'm going strong!
I chose not to add the area code, since my local peeps are local. But-- for the record, I reside in the "nickel, nickel, nine" as the girls say.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the whole service is very similar to Shellac, soaks off a tad differently-- I admit, shellac soaks off like buttah, but Gelish soaks off easily too.
Congrats on having the foresite to have picked up extra top/base when it was available!
